Board of Directors Elections

The Board of Directors governs the activities of the professional division of the BA and its divisions – Events, Government Affairs, Marketing & Communications, Membership, and Operations.

Note: Only your vote in your voting membership class will count.

Five three-year board positions are open: two for the packaging brewer class, two for the pub brewer class, and one for the taproom brewer class. An additional two-year packaging board seat is open to fill a recent vacancy.

The one or two candidates with the most votes will be elected to fill the open three-year seats in their respective member class. The packaging brewer candidate with the third most votes will be elected to the open two-year seat.

Positions start in February 2026.

Voting classes are defined in the Brewers Association bylaws (pages 8-9) as follows:

  • The Pub Brewer class includes breweries that sell more than 25% of their production onsite and operate significant food services.
  • The Packaging Brewer class includes breweries that sell 75% or more of their production outside of the brewery.
  • The Taproom Brewer class includes breweries that sell more than 25% of their beer onsite and do not operate significant food services.

Ballots will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. MT on Nov. 19, 2025.

Voting Guidelines

  • Only one ballot per member brewing company will be counted (NOT one vote per location).
  • Each voting member brewery can vote in only one category. If you are unsure which category is correct, you can vote in all three. We will review your ballot and retain the votes in the single correct category.
  • Voting member criteria are described by the BA bylaws (no breweries-in-planning, suppliers, etc.).
  • Note: Only votes in your voting membership class will count.
