Monday marks the beginning of American Craft Beer Week (ACBW), the nationally recognized week in honor of America’s small and independent craft brewers. On behalf of all of us at the Brewers Association, we’d like to wish you a happy/hoppy and fun-filled week.
With over 500 events and more than 300 craft breweries listed on AmericanCraftBeerWeek.org’s official events page, this year’s ACBW celebration is poised to be the largest ever. Plus, add to the mix the several state and local beer weeks that are overlapping the National recognition, one would be hard pressed for excuses not to celebrate with a delicious ale or lager brewed by one of the over 1,500 small and independent craft brewers in the United States, today.
Whether you’re a hard-core beer geek or craft beer newbie there is likely an event for you sometime during the week. Even the government is getting into the Craft Beer Week spirit with H. Res. 1297 and the State of Vermont’s H.C.R 331 both “supporting the goals and ideals of American Craft Beer Week." So get out and support your local brewery however you please. Cheers!
