He joined the BA at its inception in 2005, having previously worked as Programs Director for the Brewers Association of America. Before coming to the small brewing industry in 2001, Pete worked for 14 years with both state and federal elected officials in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

Failing to meet the requirements for committee consideration, House Bill 3312 which was reportedly the vehicle for a provision raising the beer and cider tax over a five year period from $2.60 a barrel to $33.60 per barrel (a 1200% increase) has died.
