CA Beer Manufacturer Retail Expansion Bill Amended

He joined the BA at its inception in 2005, having previously worked as Programs Director for the Brewers Association of America. Before coming to the small brewing industry in 2001, Pete worked for 14 years with both state and federal elected officials in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

Amended in Senate committee, A.B. 2174 authorizes a beer manufacturer licensee to sell up to 124 gallons of beer manufactured by or for the licensee per catering event for consumption at conventions, sporting events, trade exhibits, picnics, social gatherings, community events, or similar events. The bill further limits the number of such events to 36 per licensee per year.
