The Brewers Association (BA) recently filed comments on Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) Notice 216, Consideration of Updates to Trade Practice Regulations, along with a letter of support for those comments signed by forty six state and the District of Columbia brewers trade associations. Issues addressed in the BA comments include category management and the influence of “category captains,” a number of issues related to the e-commerce marketplace, the many challenges small producers face in getting their products into event venues like sports stadiums and concert arenas, and other market access issues.
