Brewers Association (BA) Quality Ambassador Dick Cantwell conveyed the importance of beer quality, product evaluation and continuous process improvement at the meeting of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association on June 7 in Columbus, Oh. The meeting was held at Four String Brewing Company, one of Ohio’s fastest growing young breweries. Representatives of several dozen breweries attended, a mix of the Buckeye state’s newest players and craft beer veterans. Attendees enjoyed time for networking and socializing, combined with the business of Ohio’s very active guild.
Part of the meeting was also devoted to electing a new board and officers of the guild. The newly elected board members include John Haggerty of Warped Wing Brewing Company, Bret Kollmann Baker of Urban Artifact, Jimmy Stockwell of Little Fish Brewing Company and Luke Purcell of Great Lakes Brewing Company. New officers include President Chris Alltmont of Fat Head’s Brewery, Vice President Lisa Wolters of Yellow Springs Brewery and Secretary Collin Castore of Seventh Son Brewing Company.
