What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?

I am currently the director of brewing operations [at Glenwood Canyon Brewing Co. in Glenwood Springs, Colo.] I started my career here in 2000 and stayed until 2005, when I went to Firestone Walker Brewing Company. I returned to Glenwood on June 1, 2014.

What’s new at Glenwood Canyon Brewing Co.?

We recently added an awesome patio overlooking the Colorado River and the mouth of Glenwood Canyon.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?

The friendships I have made over the years working in a friendly yet competitive industry.

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?

I have an 18-month-old girl and a beautiful wife who I enjoy every minute of.

What’s your favorite food and beer pairing?

Our house pulled smoked pork and our St. James Irish Red Ale.

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?

Raising my baby girl!

What’s your favorite beer that your brewery does not produce?

Firestone Walker Pivo Pils. I used to help produce it and can’t get enough of it!

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?

esk Krumlov in the Czech Republic, especially Pivovar Eggenberg and Tavern Satlava.
