Peter Skrbek is the CFO for Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon.

What’s new at Deschutes?
Some very exciting new IPAs are coming, including the launch of our new Imperial Royal Fresh IPA and an evolutionary take on the west coast IPA style with Squeezy Rider IPA. I’m super excited for the hop character in both beers and our collaboration with hop farmers to make these beers possible!

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?
Tremendous collegiality and willingness to share knowledge and help each other become better brewers, better businesses, and better members of the community.

Name a favorite food and beer pairing.
A Czech style pilsner with roasted duck and dumplings.

What’s your favorite beer from another brewery?
More than one: Pfriem Pilsner, Boneyard Gooze Crüze, Sierra Nevada Stout, and every spontaneously fermented beer I’ve ever tried from New Glarus.
