What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?
I am brewer/president at Buck Bald Brewing in Copperhill, Tenn. I was a homebrewer for 13 years before I decided to take the leap.

What’s new at Buck Bald?
Our latest brew is 22 Pale Ale. We will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to Shepherd’s Men and the veterans they serve. The beer release included local entertainment and a silent auction.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?
There is no better job than brewing craft beer. There are no better people than craft beer people.

Name a favorite food and beer pairing.
I’ll drink a great IPA with any food.

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?
Being a father and brewery owner while keeping a full-time job.

What’s your favorite beer from another brewery?
Creature Comforts Tropicalia is a delicious beer. Serendipity from New Glarus was an eye-opener for me.

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?
When I’m not doing my “real job” I spend as much time as possible with my wife and daughter.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?
I’ve been to Denver for two GABFs and a CBC. The fact that so many breweries collaborate is amazing. I loved walking into Baere Brewing and seeing four collab beers. Inspiring!
