What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?
I manage the business operations and sales (taproom/wholesale) at Wiley Roots Brewing Company in Greeley, Colo. I started the brewery with my business partner and husband, Kyle Carbaugh.
What’s new at Wiley Roots?
We’re in the process of expanding/moving our brewhouse to an adjacent building in our industrial park. We will gain another 5,000 square feet for production space and increase our clean barrel program substantially. For the past five years, our brewing space has been situated in 800 square feet.
What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?
Enjoying beer that is unique and that inspires you, plus all of the wonderful people that you meet (customers and industry).
Name a favorite food and beer pairing.
IPA and anything spicy.
What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?
I’m a certified death investigator.
What’s your favorite beer that your brewery does not produce?
Casey Brewing and Blending’s Peach Fruit Stand.
What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?
3 Fonteinen in Beersel, Belgium for the incredible atmosphere and beer.
What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?
Play video games (ESO), read and watch movies (I’m a big Anglophile), watch the UFC, play tabletop board games.
