What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?
I am the co-founder of Unmapped Brewing Co. in Minnetonka, Minn. Opening and working at Unmapped has been my first real experience with this industry (aside from the many breweries my husband and I visited). Heading into year two, I’m in charge of the financials and HR duties with some event planning and merch design sprinkled in.

What’s new at Unmapped?
Barrel-aged releases! We made this a priority last year and have recently started releasing our aged Quad and Tripel. Delicious!

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?
The collaboration and openness of everyone. Any time I’m unsure of something, there’s someone I can reach out to and they are very willing to help me out!

Name a favorite food and beer pairing.
Pizza with our No Trace IPA.

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?
Raising my two kiddos (three-year-old daughter and five-month-old son). It’s probably been the only thing more challenging than opening a brewery, but I wouldn’t change it for the world!

What’s your favorite beer from another brewery?
Oskar Blues Death by Coconut.

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?
Anything outside! Spending time with family and friends.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?
Belgium. Hands down. Since we brew a lot of Belgian-style beers at Unmapped, this trip was pretty much the pinnacle of beer drinking for me. We did a bike tour through the countryside and enjoyed some St. Bernardus and Westvleteren from the source (or at least very close to it).
