What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?

I got started in the craft beer industry 15 years ago alongside my husband, Julian Siegel. I partnered with Adam Fine of Native Brewing to open a nanobrewery [Craft Beer Cartel in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.] in 2014. We brew small batches and have a homebrew shop.

What’s new at Craft Beer Cartel?

We are very excited to be growing out of our small nanobrewery and moving to a large-scale system.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?

The best part of the craft brewing community is the people! I have worked with and become friends with some of the most rad people. The cool thing about craft beer is that there is no exclusive club. You can be an average Jane or Queen of the Nile and still be a craft beer enthusiast.

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?

My two fantastic children.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?

San Francisco. Some friends met us and we brewery hopped all day. We even got some Pliny at the beer shop.

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?

Go fishing with my boys.
