What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?
I am the social media and event coordinator at Cerberus Brewing Co. in Colorado Springs, Colo. I started as a waitress at Cerberus a few months after it opened in 2016. I slowly convinced the brewer to let me take the photos of the beer and pour at festivals. Almost three years later, it’s my job!

What’s new at Cerberus?
We bought the bike shop across the street from us. Our one-year plan is to renovate it to have a taproom and production facility for distribution, but also keep rental bikes and a repair shop. At the beginning of June, we started a free weekly group bike ride to support our community in beer and bikes. Every Sunday we ride bikes from our bike shop to another brewery, drink a beer, then come back to Cerberus for food and beers.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?
All the great people I get to talk to! It makes my day when our regulars come in. They love getting to know us and drinking a beer with us. I love meeting people in the industry and being able to talk beer. I also love talking beer to those who don’t know anything about it (shout out to my Bud Light-drinking Texas family).

Name a favorite food and beer pairing.
I love cheese and beer pairings of all kinds. At Cerberus we have IPA Braised Bacon Bites on our menu. Those with our Tiny Umbrella Party IPA are pretty bomb, too.

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?
Moving out of Texas and surviving on my own! I love Texas, but it is way too hot. I’ve always been one for adventure, so it doesn’t surprise me or my family that I live so far away from them.

What’s your favorite beer from another brewery?
I’m currently obsessed with any hazy IPA from Outer Range Brewing in Frisco, Colo., or the Smoked Helles from Bierstadt in Denver.

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?
My absolute favorite thing is hanging out with my dog. Some days I will ride my bike and she’ll run next to me, or we’ll go hiking. We like being outside. If there’s water to swim in, that’s a huge bonus.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?
Portland. I remember there being a brewery on every corner and trying to go to as many as possible.
