What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?
Since our company is a fourth-generation family-owned brewery, you could say I grew up in the business. My first experience with craft was in 1981, with the brand New Amsterdam which became a big beer in NYC.

What’s new at Saranac Brewery?
We just commissioned a new brewhouse and tank farm in March of 2020. We have a new sleek can line coming in March 2021, which will increase our flexibility on the packaging side.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?
I love the camaraderie and the friends you make in the craft community.

Name a favorite food and beer pairing.
Pizza and Pale Ale

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?
Raising $3.6M for our local United Way – the highest ever.

What’s your favorite beer from another brewery?
Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?
All outside activities – skiing, running, etc.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?
Stockholm, Sweden -Black Chocolate Stout!
