What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?

My current position is lead packager at MadTree Brewing Company [in Cincinnati, Ohio]. I got started by volunteering on the canning line to see how the professional side of homebrewing actually worked.

What’s new at MadTree?

Our new $18 million taproom/production brewery/production space is huge!

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?

The community itself: both the people in the industry and the people who are enjoying what’s being brewed!

Name a favorite food and beer pairing.

A nice burger paired with a crisp Pilsner makes for a great summer meal!

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?

I’m pretty proud of making it past the age of 35.

What’s your favorite beer that your brewery does not produce?

I’m a sucker for a solid Pilsner. North Coast Scrimshaw is up there.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?

Grand Rapids, Mich. is an amazing small city with a big city attitude. Tons of great local breweries to check out!

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?

Check out the ever growing list of local breweries in the Cincinnati area. Aside from that, I’m a homebody who is known to enjoy a TV show or two!
