What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?

I’m the co-founder of Kohola Brewery [in Lahaina, Hawaii], and I make sure all is running smoothly at the tasting room. My love for craft beer and desire to start a brewery stem from my husband, Ian, and his passion for craft beer.

What’s new at Kohola Brewery?

We will soon be releasing 12-ounce cans of our award-winning Lokahi Pilsner and our top seller Talk Story Pale Ale.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?

I enjoy meeting customers from all over the world. We also invite different non-profit organizations to utilize our tasting room as a platform to help educate our community on environmental issues that impact our beautiful island of Maui.

Name a favorite food and beer pairing.

My recent favorite is pork burnt ends from a fantastic local BBQ smokehouse with our Belgian tripel, Sweet Home Lahaina.

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?

Being a mom to my three children.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?

Definitely Belgium. I enjoyed the malty beer styles!

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?

I enjoy paddling with a local canoe club, hiking with my family, and hanging out at the many gorgeous beaches in Maui.
