What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?

I’m a brewer [at Heavy Seas Beer in Baltimore, Md.]. I work the cellars and run one of the biggest cask beer programs in the country. We have about 700 to 800 firkins.

What’s new at Heavy Seas?

Our seasonal beers along with recent collaborations with other breweries. We also have hundreds of custom casks.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?

Opening people’s eyes to new and different styles.

Name a favorite food and beer pairing.

My favorite is our Gold Ale paired with delicious Maryland crabs.

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to brewing?

Raising my two daughters and trying to spoil my wife.

What’s your favorite beer that your brewery does not produce?

4 Hands Brewing’s Resurrected IPA.

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?

Work out and raise my nine- and five-year-old girls.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?

GABF. I tried everything.
