DESTIHL, a small, yet rapidly growing brewery in central Illinois, recently hosted U.S. Congressman Aaron Schock for a tour of the facility. Brewery CEO and Brewmaster Matt Potts lead the tour and discussed the challenges associated with running this small business that’s looking to expand.
Acknowledging these challenges, the Congressman commented, “We don’t want to see a great company like Destihl move to another state to be able to continue to grow. Today is really a celebration of a small manufacturer. Sometimes, you might think, gee, it’s just beer, but for 165 people, it’s also a living.”
After the tour, Congressman Schock said enthusiastically that he would join the House Small Brewers Caucus and co-sponsor the Small BREW Act.
