In response to the President’s Executive Order Promoting Competition in the American Economy and the subsequent Treasury Department report Competition in the Markets for Beer, Wine, and Spirits, the Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) has published an advance notice of proposed rulemaking in the Federal Register and is seeking public comment on TTB’s trade practice regulations related to the Federal Alcohol Administration Act’s exclusive outlet, tied house, commercial bribery, and consignment sales prohibitions.
