Signed by the Governor, Senate Bill 155 allows on- and off-premise sales starting at 10 am on Sundays with local governing body approval. Additionally, the legislation allows: retailers (including brewery taprooms) to sell crowlers; sampling during production for quality control and employee education; breweries to sell unfortified wine without the requirement to also serve food; and transportation of homebrew and homemade wine for competitions. Finally, it authorizes off-site storage locations for breweries, wineries and distilleries and supports farmhouse breweries that operate in a dry county.
