The state Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control (ATC) has issued an emergency amendment in response to a court order stemming from the decision in Missouri Broadcasters Association v. Taylor removing regulatory language the ATC has been enjoined from enforcing relating to the ability of manufacturers of intoxicating liquor to offer consumer rebate coupons and advertise of sales price below cost. Additionally, the amendment further updates the regulation to reflect current trends in advertising, such as advertisements via the Internet, email, and text messages.
