Michigan Bills seek to allow Beer Samples at Farmers Markets

He joined the BA at its inception in 2005, having previously worked as Programs Director for the Brewers Association of America. Before coming to the small brewing industry in 2001, Pete worked for 14 years with both state and federal elected officials in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

House Bills 5426 and 5427 seek to amend the Michigan Liquor Control Code to allow microbrewers to provide samples of their beer at farmers markets. The bills are tie-barred together, meaning neither can take effect if one is not enacted.
