The Kentucky Guild of Brewers has filed a formal protest with the state Alcohol Beverage Commission regarding the attempted acquisition of an Owensboro wholesaler by Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI), expressing concern that market access options for small brewers would be significantly diminished should that deal be approved. The Guild has been joined in that protest by several individual Kentucky ABI distributors, Kentucky retailers, the Kentucky Beer Wholesalers Association (MillerCoors distributors), the National Beer Wholesalers Association and the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers Association.
