Amended prior to being sent to the Senate, H.B. 2291 stipulates that any beer containing not more than 6 percent alcohol by volume and sold by the individual drink by any microbrewery be considered cereal malt beverage and not beer for the purposes of the Kansas Liquor Control Act and provides an exemption from the Kansas Food Code to permit microbreweries to allow dogs on the premises.
