BA, NBWA Seek Hearing on ABI-SABMiller Proposed Final Judgment

Pete Johnson served as the State & Regulatory Affairs Manager for the Brewers Association (BA) until 2024. He joined the BA at its inception in 2005, having previously worked as Programs Director for the Brewers Association of America. Before coming to the small brewing industry in 2001, Pete worked for 14 years with both state and federal elected officials in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

The Brewers Association (BA) and the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) have filed a joint Reply Brief in the matter of the Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI) acquisition of SABMiller stating that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has inadequately addressed competitive concerns raised in previous amicus filings by BA and NBWA and requesting a hearing be held before the Proposed Final Judgment is finalized.
