Angela Aebersold

Angela Aebersold, Human Resources Director

Three Notch'd Brewing Company

Angela Aebersold, MHRM, SHRM-CP, currently serves as the human resources (HR) director at Three Notch'd Brewing Company, where she has been since 2019. As an HR department of one, Angela oversees human resources, payroll administration, and safety administration for 255 employees across six locations in Virginia. She began career in HR in 2014 after serving in people operations for sports and entertainment concessions at Florida State University.

After joining the independent craft beer industry, Angela was introduced to the Craft Beer HR (CBHR) Professionals group to connect and learn from others in the industry. This paved the way to volunteering and giving back to the industry at large. Presently, serves on the CBHR executive committee and the Brewers Association HR Committee. Angela was honored to serve as a technical editor for the Brewers Publications title, Crafting Brewery Culture: A Human Resources Guide for Small Breweries, by Gary Nicholas.

Angela was born and raised in Miami, Florida and currently resides in Charlottesville, Virginia where Three Notch'd is headquartered.

Derrick Borgmann

Derrick Borgmann, Founder & CEO

NW Collab

Derrick Borgmann currently resides in Central Oregon with his wife and Golden Retriever Winston. He is the founder and CEO of a NW Collab a People/HR operations consulting firm. Derrick's background is comprised of 15+ years of hands-on leadership in all areas of HR/People operations, with a current focus on strategic organizational development and agile people strategies that meet all business needs. Derrick is a member of the BA HR Committee.

Pamela Brulotte

Pamela Brulotte, Founder

Icicle Brewing Company & München Haus

Pamela Brulotte is the founder of Icicle Brewing Company (2010), and their restaurant, München Haus (2001) with her husband, Oliver. Pam and Oliver have three adult children and love the people and the passion of our industry. Pam currently serves on the Brewers Association Board of Directors, as the co-chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, and is a member of the Public Relations and Marketing Committee. As a past recipient of the F.X. Matt Defense of the Craft Brewing Industry Award, Pam is passionate about protecting our industry. She also believes in fostering quality, education, collaboration, and safe and inclusive communities. Pam is very grateful to have this opportunity to represent small and independent brewers.

Holly Haslam

Holly Haslam, Human Resources Partner

Brewers Association

In April 2022, Holly Haslam (she/her), MBA, SHRM-SCP joined the Brewers Association as the organization's first human resources (HR) partner. With a bachelor's degree in psychology and substance abuse prevention, education, and treatment from Central Michigan University, she went on to pursue her master's degree in business administration specializing in HR management at the University of Northern Colorado. Holly serves as a volunteer leader with the Boulder Area HR Association (BAHRA), working with local experts to provide educational content to the Boulder HR community. Her experience building out HR functions, employee engagement initiatives, and training and advancement programs led her to specialize in helping small organizations create systems that aid in employee professional development and retention. Holly utilizes the insight and experience she has gained working within small organizations to equip leaders in the craft brewing community with the knowledge and resources needed to take care of their most valuable assets—their people.

J Jackson-Beckham

J Jackson-Beckham, Director of Social Impact

Brewers Association

A former professor of communication studies, Dr. J Jackson-Beckham (she/her) dedicated her academic career to the study of American beer. Today, she helps craft beverage organizations develop practices that drive success, build communities, and empower individuals. She is an author, speaker, vocal advocate for the craft beverage community, homebrewer, and Certified Cicerone. In 2018, Dr. J was named the Brewers Association's first-ever diversity ambassador. In 2020, she was named Imbibe Magazine's Beer Person of the Year. Today, Jackson-Beckham leads the Brewers Association's social impact efforts in diversity, equity, and inclusion, member and community engagement, high return on investment philanthropy, and association accountability.
