Any brewery using the U.S. Small Business Administrations’s (SBA) online application portal can register and create a username and password starting TODAY. Note: Businesses working with Square or Toast point of sale systems (POS) do not need to register beforehand on the SBA’s application portal.
Award Applications Will Be Accepted Starting Monday
Applications for Restaurant Revitalization Awards will be accepted starting Monday, May 3 at 12:00 p.m. EDT. All eligible applicants are encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible; we expect funds to run out before all applicants receive grants.
The Brewers Association encourages all breweries that are planning on applying for funds to review the sample application on the SBA website and collect the documentation required to apply as soon as possible. There Are Two Ways to Apply for an Award
- Businesses can use SBA-recognized POS vendors, which include Square, Toast, Clover, and NCR Corporation (Aloha).
- Businesses that do not work with an SBA-recognized POS vendor can apply directly via the SBA’s Restaurant Revitalization Award Portal.
How SBA Will Prioritize Applications
For the first 21 days that the program is open, SBA will prioritize funding applications from businesses owned and controlled by women, veterans, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Following the 21 days, all eligible applications will be funded on a first-come, first-served basis.
