Brewers Association Hosts Restaurant Revitalization Fund Webinar with the Small Business Administration

Senior Director of Federal Affairs

Katie Marisic is the senior director of federal affairs at the Brewers Association. Based in Washington, D.C. she plans and executes legislative, regulatory, and political strategies to drive the association's federal affairs presence on Capitol Hill. Prior to working for the BA, Katie was vice president of political affairs at the National Association of Federal Credit Unions. She got her start in politics working on congressional campaigns during the 2006 and 2008 elections. A Pennsylvania native, Katie is a long time craft brewing supporter. In 2013 she helped to open Atlas Brew Works in Washington, D.C. When she is not advocating for the craft brewing community on Capitol Hill you can sometimes find her pouring beers at a local tasting room.

Join the Brewers Association (BA) for a webinar with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) about the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) this Friday, April 9 at 10:00a.m. MT.

SBA Administrator Isabel Guzman and Assistant Administrators Patrick Kelley and Julie Verratti will join BA General Counsel Marc Sorini to discuss the Restaurant Revitalization Fund.

The Restaurant Revitalization Fund, a critical component of the American Rescue Plan that passed earlier this year, is a $28.6 billion fund created to provide direct financial relief to hard hit on-premise food and dining businesses. The SBA has been tasked with implementing and administrating the RRF to ensure that the funds are received by the breweries, restaurants, bars and other hospitality businesses that need them most.

BA members have the unique opportunity to hear directly from the SBA about how the RRF, who qualifies for the funds, and how to apply for them.
