As someone working in small and independent craft beer, you’re no stranger to the new independent craft brewer seal. But what about beer lovers? After all, this seal is about communicating to them. Do beer lovers know what the logo stands for? During American Craft Beer Week 2018, CraftBeer.com is encouraging beer lovers to pledge to seek the seal, and this campaign gives breweries, beer bars, bottle shops, and guilds a chance to get involved.

Pledge to Seek the Seal During American Craft Beer Week

American Craft Beer Week 2018 runs from May 14 to May 20. This is the 13th year CraftBeer.com has organized the annual celebration of independent craft beer, rallying beer lovers to get out and explore special beer releases, events, food pairings, draft specials, menus, and more all week long.

This year, we’re encouraging beer lovers to pledge to seek the seal during American Craft Beer Week. When beer lovers sign the pledge, they’ll receive a button they can sport to show their support (and who doesn’t like free beer stuff?!?). In the first 24 hours after launching the pledge, more than 2,400 had already signed on. That shows us beer lovers are hungry not only to support local beer, but also to literally wear their support when they add that button to their shirt, their hat, their backpack — wherever. They’re proud of the beers they love and the independent spirit that anchors the brewing community.

Seek the Seal on Instagram

Your brewery adopted the seal, so now what? Show it off on Instagram, and you don’t have to wait until American Craft Beer Week to do it.

Did you know Instagram is the fastest-growing social media platform right now? There are 300 million active users a month.

In March, CraftBeer.com rolled out our Seek the Seal campaign on Instagram, encouraging beer lovers to snap a photo of the seal when they spot it, and then upload their photos to Instagram with the hashtag #seektheseal. The hashtag is building momentum and you can see dozens of the pictures we’ve collected in our photo gallery at CraftBeer.com.

We’re also looking for Instagram photos from breweries, beer bars, guilds, and bottle shops. A photo showing how your beer business is using the seal speaks volumes about independence, and we can’t wait to see them! Upload your photos showing the seal to Instagram with the #seektheseal hashtag, and we’ll share them with our readers both onsite and our social channels.

Cheers to small and independent brewers and the beer lovers who support them!
