What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?

I’m the owner/brewer at O.H.S.O. Eatery + Nanobrewery [in Phoenix, Ariz.]. Bell’s Brewery was an inspiration when I was living in Michigan.

What’s new at O.H.S.O.?

Carrot Cake beer, Peanut Butter beer, Key Lime Pie beer. Hopefully in late May we’ll have our app up and running for the system. It will allow a person to book online; will have the time to come to the brewery and make a beer with the brewer here; and then will allow the user to invite friends to come drink a beer they helped make.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?

Creating something unique and new, and pushing the boundaries.

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?

Spend time with my seven-year-old son, doing sports games and hiking.

What’s your favorite food and beer pairing?

Our beer dinners have been really great. We just did a big one with Sierra Nevada in April with their executive chef and ours.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?

I’ve traveled a lot in California, and Michigan is home.
