Researcher Presentation: Hop Cultivars for a Warmer and Drier World

CBC Online 2020
Speakers: Dr. Renée Eriksen

In this researcher presentation, Dr. Renée Eriksen presents studies on the response of different public hop cultivars to heat and drought. Models predict an increase in the frequency of heat waves and drought in the major hop-growing regions of the U.S. in future years. Understanding the response of different hop varieties to heat and drought allows growers to plan their yards better and breeders to develop more stress resilient cultivars.
