Longtime Brewers Association counsel Marc Sorini provides his annual overview of the year’s developments at the intersection of law and craft beer. Topics this year will include: The implications of the Supreme Court’s pending Byrd v. Tennessee Wine and Spirits Retailers Association case The interpretation and potential extension of the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reduction Act (CBMTRA) The new trade practices enforcement posture of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) and several major states (e.g. New York) The state of play on cannabis legalization The proposed modernizations to TTB’s labeling and advertising regulations An engaging speaker, Marc takes seemingly-dry topics and brings them to life, making him one of the CBC’s longest-tenured speakers, having spoken at the CBC since 1998.
