We live in a time when anyone can—and frequently wants to—be heard. This is particularly true in politically divisive times and with a wide array of electronic communication tools available. This brief session addresses a brewery’s ability to manage on- and off-duty conduct that can impact work. A wide range of topics will be discussed, including an employee’s right to privacy, when griping about work is protected, workplace romance and other relationships, religious beliefs and practices in and outside work, political and social justice advocacy, use of social media and other technology, and engaging in dangerous activities which such as drug and alcohol misuse or abuse.
