What’s your current position at your brewpub, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?

I’m the brewmaster [at Rockyard Brewing Company in Castle Rock, Colo.]. I quit my day job and started out as assistant brewer, kegging, cleaning, transferring, and brewing.

What’s new at Rockyard?

We are building a 25-bbl expansion to keep up with off-premise demand.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?

Looking forward to going to “work” every day.

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?

Hiking, geocaching, camping, and napping.

What’s your favorite food and beer pairing?

Pizza and Scottish ale.

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?

The difference I’ve made as a personal coach.

What’s your favorite beer that your brewery does not produce?

Left Hand’s Sawtooth ESB.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?

Köln, Germany for Koelsch, of kourse.
