Revolution Brewing Becomes the Official Craft Beer of the Chicago Sky

CHICAGO (March 13, 2024) — The Chicago Sky and Revolution Brewing are joining forces, with the brewery becoming the team’s official craft beer. This marks the first brewery partnership for the Sky in franchise history.

Revolution’s top-selling beer, Anti-Hero, hits concession stands at Wintrust Arena at the start of the 2024 season. Revolution is Illinois’ largest independently-owned brewery and is also in the midst of a nine-month celebration of sports, currently highlighting basketball.

Revolution will become a noticeable presence on gameday, with features including a new Hero Deck section and in-game scoreboard races featuring the brewery’s characters. In addition to showcasing their popular Hero IPAs, Revolution is introducing its new premium lager Cold Time to Sky fans as the presenting partner of all :30 or :60 timeouts, branded “Cold Time Outs.”

“We are thrilled to introduce Revolution Brewing to Sky fans by showcasing their signature craft beers at Wintrust Arena, launching new fan engagement initiatives and expanding the reach of our community efforts,” Chicago Sky Vice President, Corporate Partnerships Alex Teodosi said. “We are proud to partner with Illinois’ largest independently owned brewery and amplify an exciting new local Chicago partnership.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to join the Sky family and introduce their fans to Revolution Brewing in new engaging ways, but this partnership is about so much more,” Chief Marketing Officer Doug Veliky said. “Our conversations began over a mutual respect for each other’s commitment to community development and the exponential impact we can have by combining our efforts.”

Among other initiatives, Revolution is a premier partner of the Chicago Sky Small Business Boot Camp designed to advance social justice causes and build bridges to local communities. The four-week program focuses on economic development to aid in rebuilding and sustaining Black-owned businesses in the Chicagoland area.

The Chicago Sky head into the 2024 WNBA Draft on April 15th with the 3rd overall, 8th overall and 13th overall picks, respectively. Season ticket holders are invited to a private draft party at the Revolution Taproom and Brewery (3340 N. Kedzie Ave., Chicago, IL 60618) to cheer on the Sky’s newest roster additions. More details to come closer to the draft.

The 2024 campaign tips off May 15th in Dallas, ahead of the home opener at Wintrust on May 25th against Connecticut. Fans can stay tuned to Revolution’s social media for opportunities to win tickets and other prizes.
