2011 European Beer Star Award Competition Shipping Deadline Extended with the Brewers Association Export Development Program

The BA EDP will be flying the beers one week later for the European Beer Star competition for BA EDP members – please send your beers to arrive by Wednesday, September 7th.

2011 European Beer Star Competition

The European Beer Star Awards has developed to become one of the international brewing community’s most coveted awards recognizing original, innovative beers. Last year, the European Beer Star Awards reported a record number of competitors with a total of 955 beers from 34 different countries.  This event represents an outstanding opportunity for you to have your beers judged against the worlds’ best.  For more information, please visit: http://www.european-beer-star.com

New this Year:
In 2011 there are 3 new categories:
* Wood and Barrel-Aged Strong Beer
* Belgian-Style Witbier
* Imperial IPA.

Event Timeline:
The European Beer Star Awards Competition judging takes place in early October.  Awards will be announced on November 10th 2011 at an award ceremony at the BRAU Bevial in Nuremberg.  The Brewers Association Export Development Program will present these awards to brewery representatives at its own ceremony at the 2012 Craft Brewers Conference in San Diego.
