A discussion of the efforts of the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) to define and certify craft brewers. The session will include a presentation of the “Assured Independent British Craft Brewer” initiative, which will introduce a stamp for labels of beer produced by genuinely independent craft brewers. SIBA will lay out the importance of the initiative to promote independent craft brewers in the UK and make easier for drinkers to identify beers from craft brewers.

At the 2017 Craft Brewers Conference, the Brewers Association Export Development Program will recognize brewery members who won awards at the following international competitions: 2016 Australian International Beer Awards, 2016 European Beer Star (Germany), and 2016 Brussels Beer Challenge.
