The Brewers Association’s Export Development Program is planning to participate in the 17th International Berlin Beer Festival in Germany. If you are not a BA EDP member, contact Mark Snyder today for details to join the BA EDP.
17th International Berlin Beer Festival
August 2 – 4, 2013
Berlin, Germany
The BA will be displaying an assortment of US craft beers in this festival by creating a U.S. craft beer pavilion. The space will be “branded” with US craft beer POS, BA posters, beer mats, etc. It will provide excellent exposure for American craft beers in general and, in particular, for brands already in the German or soon to be in Germany. We encourage breweries to include some marketing items with the beers you are sending.
American Craft Beer Ambassador Andreas Fält and Brewers Association Mark Snyder will be representing the BA at the festival.
If you will be attending the Berlin Beer Festival in person, please let me know. We would appreciate your assistance in promoting American craft beers at the festival.
Deadlines
Tuesday, June 11
Beers to Brewers Association Warehouse
Brewers Association warehouse
3240 Prairie Ave, Unit A
Boulder, CO 80301
Tel: 303-443-7198
We will be shipping the samples by ocean freight in a refrigerated container; as such the beer would need to be delivered to the BA warehouse in Boulder no later than Tuesday June 11th. This will give the shipment ample time to reach the consolidation point on the East Coast.
If you are also participating in the Great British Beer Festival, your beers are due at the same time – June 11th to the BA warehouse. Please contact Mark Snyder if you plan to attend and/or participate by sending beers to the Berlin Beer Festival to confirm the brands & quantities for the festival.

Beer Quantity Required
Please send 4-6 brands per brewery and 5 cases per brand of bottle & can beers and please send up to 6 one-way kegs such as KeyKeg. We will be promoting the quality and diversity of American craft beers. Please send only full cases per brand as opposed to mixed cases. You can send fewer brands and cases/kegs if you want. If you would like to send more brands/cases, please contact Mark Snyder.
Note: Please contact Mark Snyder with the brands and number of cases & kegs you plan to send. We have limited space on the number of beers we can send and this will help me to coordinate the quantity, being shipped to the Germany. The number of cases/kegs needed may change, based on participation.
Cost
The cost of the shipment to Berlin, including customs clearance, taxes, duties, etc. will be covered for BA EDP members. Participating breweries will be asked to cover the cost of delivering samples and POS to the BA warehouse.
