The European Beer Star is one of the most recognized beer competitions in the world, committed to the traditional European art of brewing. The competition evaluates the beers on the basis of purely sensory criteria and is limited to beer categories, which originate in Europe. Sixty Brewers Association Export Development Program members sent 282 beers for the 2016 European Beer Star competition. Twenty-one BA EDP members won 31 awards in 22 different categories in the competition.
