Update on BA Professional Division Job Opening

Share Post

The Brewers Association Professional Division posted a job opening for a division assistant starting the first week of 2012 in our Boulder, Colorado office. The application window was November 17 to December 2. The person hired for the job will work on divisional programs, this website, managing association contacts in our database and working to develop membership in the association, plus much more.

We received 104 applications for the position. I have confirmed receipt of application to each candidate. The next phase of the process is to determine the top 8 to 12 candidates for a 10-minute pre-interview by phone during the week of December 5 to 9. From there, I hope to narrow the field to 2 to 5 candidates for full interviews with a hiring committee around December 15. Ideally, we’ll make a decision before the holiday break.

The candidate pool is outstanding. Nearly every resume and cover letter I have seen so far has impressed me with the quality of people out there who are truly passionate about craft brewed beer and craft brewers and have many of the skills needed to excel at the position. While we can only hire one candidate, I hope I get to meet many of you at the pub or a beer festival.

Cheers,

Paul Gatza
