How do we know where to mount our eye wash?

The Safety Exchange Says: Our guidance for placing an eye wash station is: less than 100 feet or 10 seconds of travel, and on the same elevation (no stairs). That may mean mounting an eye wash on the brew deck or keeping an eyewash bottle within reach while cleaning.

Maintain good housekeeping and mark the eye wash station with bright colors. As you found out, both eyes will tear up and you can’t see where you are going. You already have to know where eye wash is. Employees should be trained on eye wash location during their first day of work.

When working with corrosive cleaners be sure to wear chemical splash goggles.
