The Brewers Association Export Development Program (EDP) is highlighting the diversity and quality of American craft beer in the craft brewer’s pavilion at the 37th Winter Fancy Food Show which opened Sunday at Moscone Center in San Francisco with sold-out exhibit halls, a new mix of buyers from top names in retailing and restaurants, and new foods and beverages from emerging companies and industry veterans alike.

The Fancy Food Show attracts a large contingent of buyers from the US and internationally, helping American craft brewers gain exposure in the marketplace and ultimately sell more craft beer domestically and abroad.

Attendees at this industry-only event are enjoying three days to sample American craft beers from 12 Brewers Association member breweries. Participating craft brewers are showcasing a variety of brands to highlight the broad range of flavors and styles produced by America’s small and independent brewers.  Over 40 different brands are being showcased at this show; and cheeses from the American Cheese Society are provided by their members to pair with the American craft beers.

The show runs January 15 – 17.  It is the largest marketplace devoted exclusively to specialty foods and beverages on the West Coast, and the largest ever in exhibit space in San Francisco, its longtime West Coast home.  It opens as the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade, Inc. (NASFT), the show’s owner, celebrating its 60th anniversary.

The exhibit halls are filled with 80,000 specialty products representing the latest in beer, chocolate, cheese, olive oil, spices, ethnic specialties and natural and organic products from craft beer & food artisans, importers and entrepreneurs from 35+ countries and regions.  American craft beers are being introduced to professionals in the specialty food trade only. It is closed to the general public.
