Adding vehicles to your brewery processes creates new safety concerns for your employees and your business. Licensing, operating, and insuring commercial vehicles is a whole different ballgame than doing so for a personal vehicle. Brewery employees who must drive as a part of their role—on their sales route, while delivering self-distributed beer, when traveling to festivals and events, etc.—are exposed to unique hazards including potential vehicular accidents, material handling injuries, driving fatigue, road rage, and more. In this seminar, a panel of experts offers a helpful toolkit to reduce incidents and improve worker wellbeing during these unique job activities.

Learning Objectives:

  • Hear cautionary tales about shifting loads and other vehicle incidents in the brewing industry
  • Gather tips and tricks for loading and unloading heavy items safely from a vehicle
  • Learn to avoid fatigue, heat stress, and psychosocial hazards associated with driving
  • Find out how vehicle regulations and insurance differ for vehicles used for commercial purposes
  • Walk away with a checklist for vehicle safety and a toolbox for safe on-the-road operations
