Listen to Your Distributor: Building Successful Distribution Partnerships

Craft Brewers Conference 2019
Location: Denver, Colorado
Speakers: Collin McDonnell, Conner Coghill, Rob Burns, Robby Roda

Join Rob Burns, Conner Coghill, Collin McDonnell, and Robby Roda for a panel about what builds an effective relationship with a distributor! As more and more breweries open and distributors get more full, getting your beer to accounts is increasingly challenging. Adapting to this changing environment, particularly as you add new distribution territories, requires meaningful partnership with a distributor that goes far beyond a contract. Your distributor should be your eyes and ears on the ground particularly outside your home market and you need to know they have your back. The conversation will also explore non-traditional routes to market such as self-distribution, brewery-owned distributors, online sales, and burst/occasional market high spotting.

Learning Objectives:

Gain better understanding of how to write go-to-market plans; Learn how to utilize information from your distributor; Hear how to make your brewery an attractive prospect for distributors; Explore non-traditional routes to market such as self-distribution, brewery-owned distributors, online sales, and burst/occasional market high spotting
