Fermentation fans of all skill levels to convene for 43rd annual homebrewing conference June 17-19

What

Homebrewers and fermentation hobbyists around the country are invited to join the American Homebrewers Association on June 17-19 for the 43rd annual Homebrew Con™—a three-day conference celebrating the art of brewing beer, making cider, mead, and kombucha, and learning fermentation techniques. Attendees of all experience levels will attend the online event from the comfort of their own homes. This year, Homebrew Con features a keynote speaker, a virtual expo hall, and more than 20 live seminars with access to post-event recordings. The conference concludes with the National Homebrew Competition awards ceremony, the world’s largest international amateur beer competition recognizing outstanding homebrewed beer, mead, and cider.

Who

Homebrew Con welcomes anyone of legal drinking age interested in the hobby of homebrewing, mead- or cidermaking to attend seminars led by experts in topics ranging from techniques and ingredients to history and the latest homebrewing trends. Both experienced professional brewers and homebrewers just getting their toes wet are invited to deepen their knowledge and immerse themselves in everything fermentation.

Keynote Speaker

Marcus Baskerville, head brewer and co-founder of Weathered Souls Brewing Company, will deliver this year’s keynote address. Baskerville will share his craft beer journey from home to professional brewer and the creation of the Black Is Beautiful Initiative. Since June 2020, more than 1,200 breweries in 22 countries have committed to brewing the Back Is Beautiful recipe to support local organizations building positive and equitable communities.

While attendance is limited to American Homebrewers Association and Brewers Association members, all beer lovers are invited to join the American Homebrewers Association and discover the joys of homebrewing. Membership starts at $4.99 per month.
