Andrew Foss, Head Brewer
Human Robot Beer
Andrew Foss has worked as head brewer at Human Robot Beer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, since 2020. Working around the city’s brewing scene since 2014, he started at Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery, worked as head brewer at Saint Benjamin Brewing Company, and lead brewer at Mainstay brewing company before landing at Human Robot. Human Robot is a lager-focused brewery with a focus on historical mashing techniques, adapting those techniques to modern malts.
Petr Kosin, Head of Brewing Operations
Budejovicky Budvar Brewery
Petr Kosin has been fascinated by beer mysteries from his first sip 25 years ago. Petr has a master's and a Ph.D. in brewing from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague, both conducted in Budvar research laboratories. Petr has progressed from roles in quality and research to production, and is now head of brewing operations, overseeing everything from grain to beer. Petr is also chairman of the EBC Brewing Science Group. Outside of work, Petr is a passionate cyclist, demonstrating that beer can be part of a longevity plan if balanced with other life aspects.
Zdenek Rosa, Chairman
Bohemia Hop
Zdenek Rosa comes from a hop farming background and has been a part of the Czech and international hop industry for nearly last 30 years. Since 2009, Zdenek has been a chairman of the largest Czech hop trading company, BOHEMIA HOP, as well as the Czech growers cooperative CHMELARSTVI. Zdenek is active in the International Hop Growers Convention as a vice president and chairman of the Economic Commission. As a vice chairman of the Hop Growers Union, Zdenek regularly presents on the Czech hop industry, including the latest developments and research projects at brewing conferences worldwide.
