Mirella Amato, Sensory and Education Consultant

WSET

Toronto-based Mirella Amato is a driving force in the beer industry, having worked in the beer education and sensory space for over 19 years, internationally. She is a Master Cicerone, Grand Master Beer Judge Certification Program judge, and an accredited beer sommelier in Germany (Doemens Biersommelier) and the United Kingdom (The Beer & Cider Academy Sommelier). She is also the author of the award-winning book Beerology: Everything You Need to Know to Enjoy Beer…Even More. Mirella is the senior business development manager for beer at WSET, a provider of drinks education, and contributed to the creation of its Level 1 and Level 2 Awards in Beer, which were released in February of 2024.

Natalya Watson, Business Development Manager - Beer

WSET

Natalya Watson is an award-winning beer educator and business development manager for WSET, based in London. Focused on supporting the growth of WSET’s new beer qualifications, she regularly teaches courses, trains trainers, and speaks at industry events. She is an Advanced Cicerone, IBD Beer Sommelier, WSET Certified Beer Educator, and was named Training Professional of the Year at the British Institute of Innkeeping’s 2022 National Innovation in Training Awards. Natalya is also the author of Beer: Taste the Evolution in 50 Styles (Kyle Books, 2020) and host of the "Cheers with Nat" podcast.
