As someone who has worked on issues affecting the alcohol and tobacco industries’ regulatory requirements for more than for 40 years, Mr. Manfreda has a keen understanding of how the work TTB does directly affects these industries and strives to ensure that TTB’s efforts result in a fair marketplace, enhanced trade opportunities, and a level playing field for all. In this session, Mr. Manfreda will discuss recent changes to Federal law and TTB regulations that affect brewers and will address TTB’s continuing efforts to ease brewers’ regulatory requirements—some of which are the direct result of working with the Brewers Association. He also will discuss TTB’s aggressive performance targets relating to TTB’s approval turnaround times, provide an overview of brewing data compiled by TTB, consider what the future may hold and, if time allows, will open the floor for questions.
