Mount Angel, OR
Benedictine Brewery and the Coleman family of Coleman Agriculture invite the public to a heartfelt celebration marking 50 years of partnership, the brewery’s 8th anniversary, and the start of Oregon’s 2025 hop harvest season

The event will be held at Benedictine Brewery (400 Humpert Lane, Mt. Angel, OR 97362) and is open to all guests.

The celebration will begin with a blessing from Father Martin, followed by the release of Anniversary HAUSTUS, a Belgian Pale Ale brewed with 100% Simcoe® hops grown on Abbey land. This special-edition beer honors a half-century of collaboration between the Benedictine monks of Mount Angel Abbey/AFO and the Coleman family, who have farmed and stewarded the land together since 1975. Anniversary HAUSTUS will be available for purchase on draft, and a limited quantity of bottles will be for sale.

Coleman Hops will also be on hand with hop samples grown at Mount Angel, offering guests the opportunity to see and smell the raw ingredients that bring this beer to life. “The monks’ values of stewardship and community align beautifully with our sustainable approaches to farming,” said Ivy Hover of Coleman Agriculture. “This beer is a heartfelt expression of what is crafted when people work together with care and purpose.”

In addition to the beer release, the event also serves as a kick-off to Oregon’s hop harvest, expected to begin on or around August 19.
