The United States Trade Representative today released a 397-page report today outlining both tariff and non-tariff trade barriers by country. The report is designed to informal “reciprocal tariffs” previously announced by the White House that are potentially set to go into effect as early as tomorrow, April 2nd. You can see the full report here. The Brewers Association will be providing updates on any reciprocal tariffs as well as potential agricultural tariffs that could also take effect on April 2nd.
Notably, the report does not mention value added taxes (VAT) as a trade barrier in conjunction with the European Union.
